• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Todd -- A virology lab with poor safety processes? What could go wrong? : This is a very comprehensive, well-researched book. It doesn't conclusively say it was a lab accident but there is a lot of circumstantial evidence that points to it from website links being deleted to the uniqueness this virus has for humans as opposed to other animals (which suggests it was engineered) to the lab's links to bioterrorism. Everyone should read and make their own opinion. The way this was handled is incredibly important to understand. Mainstream science essentially shut down the lab origin theory so Trump would not be elected. It was only after the evidence was so overwhelming that Biden reinstated the investigation. I really can't stand when people say "Trust the science." It is as political if not more political than anything else. We find that Americans including Fauci and Peter Deszack were funneling taxpayer money into the Wuhan Lab for testing and therefore had an incredible conflict of interest to rule a lab accident out of the realm of possibility. We find that Facebook and Twitter shutdown discussion about the lab origin story and only have recently allowed. What happened to free speech. The left wing media never gave the lab origin story any credibility. Finally, people need to wake up and understand China is a real threat. They are an authoritarian state which competes aggressively with the US. They do not have our best interest at hand. We need to be very mindful of them. Personally, what worries me the most is that in the US the truth no longer matters. It's whatever is convenient for somebody's narrative that matters. We desperately need to move away from that. I was delighted to discover "What Really Happened in Wuhan." One conclusion that cannot be escaped is the politicization of scientists and scientific journals. They mostly hated Donald Trump so much that they perverted their profession in order to cover up the truth. Hey, I understand why a Marko Rubio or a Jeb Bush might be angry at being humiliated by Trump and then respond with a political attack that might be slanted ever so slightly or even by outright lying but scientists? I really am impressed with the unbiased, un-politicized approach. Decades from now the world will be looking back at this time both for the horror the pandemic has caused and also for the massive cover up than ensued. Sharri Markson leaves few stones in her analysis of the unusual and highly coincidental events leading up and after the announcement of the presence of the virus Wuhan and of the unusual (unique) properties of the Covid19 virus as reported by prominent virologists globally. The questions this book raises should prompt a full and proper investigation of the outbreak. It should also raise questions as to the integrity of the global scientific community, the institutions we rely upon such as the World Health Organization (WHO), and the pressures placed upon them to conform to certain narratives within the new global order. This is necessary not only to bring some resolution to the families of the nearly five million dead (at the time of writing) but also to help ensure that a repeat pandemic is not only years away. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Mr. David Tutt -- Half way through it and its brilliant! : I brought this book just 2 days ago and have been reading it avidly whenever I get the chance. It seems the truth is out there if you are prepared to dig around and follow simple time lines and I think, so far in my reading that Sharri has done a wonderful job. There are other books out there that tell you the nature of the virus and more on the vaccine too and the story of how and why the science has progressed the way it has but this is a straight forward historic record which, once you understand the implications of those events it is startling how stupid the world is! I would like to say that this is going to be the last we have to think about the subject but conspiracy theory predicts even more trouble ahead and no doubt like most theory of that type they only take time to come true. Meanwhile if you read this then you might like to read a novel called "A Planet for the President" by Alistair Beaton which has some laugh out loud moments that fit very snugly into Sharri's fine work here and even though it is fiction you get to wonder if that very fiction was copied to create the current situation..... It is scarey the lengths that some people went to (not just the CCP, but eminent members of the international science community) in order to direct what is a not-very-credible narrative. Most of the evidence is circumstantiaI but pretty convincing nonetheless. I hope we get more publications that further explore the origin of this virus.
